Professor Piotr Kłodkowski
Prof. Piotr Kłodkowski is currently Poland’s ambassador in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Prof. Kłodkowski is a specialist in the field of political science and international relations, particularly in the area of Asian countries. He graduated from the Jagiellonian University where he also earned his doctoral degree in literary studies. At the Cracow University of Economics he completed Master of Business Administration postgraduate studies. He also studied philosophy at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow. He was a visiting research fellow at many higher education institutions: at the National Institute of Modern Languages/Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad (Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1989-1990), University College Cork in Ireland (1993-1994), Clare Hall, Cambridge University (within Wasilewski Scholarship, 2004) and the International Leadership Program 2006 in the United States, funded by the U.S. Department of State. The Professor has been honoured with the Beata Pawlak Award and the Józef Tischner Award. For nearly a decade he has been organizing and leading cultural and scientific expeditions to the Orient countries: India, China, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, to Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Has worked as a political commentator with the BBC World Service, TVN 24, TVP, PR. Since 2002, he has been a co-author of the cyclic program Under the Common Sky in Radio Rzeszow. His publications have appeared in scholarly journals and major international print media, including Znak and Tygodnik Powszechny. Author of over 50 publications, including books: Homo mysticus hinduizmu i islamu; Mistyczny ruch bhakti i sufizm, Wydawnictwo Akademickie DIALOG, Warsaw 1998, Jak modlą się hindusi, Verbinum, Warsaw 2000, Wojna światów? Anna Siewierska-Chmaj, Ph.D.
Anna Siewierska-Chmaj has earned her doctoral degree at from the University of Warsaw. She lectures on political communication, cultures and civilizations and cross-cultural communication. Assistant Director of the Institute of Research on Civilizations at UITM in Rzeszów.
Current research areas: language of politics, political mythology, multiculturalism.

Damian Liśkiewicz, M.A.
Damian Liśkiewicz graduated from the University of Rzeszów in the field of Physical Education. He has been an assistant at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów since September 2001. Co-founder and employee of the Institute of Research on Civilizations, lecturer at the Chair of Tourism.
Instructor of swimming, volleyball, skiing, tennis; yachtsman, tour guide. He took part in many trainings and workshops on intercultural dialogue, pedagogy, management, interpersonal communication and sports. Co-organiser and coordinator of contests and competitions for high school and university students.
Current research areas: tourism as intercultural dialogue, trends in modern tourism, influence of globalization, McDonaldisation on modern tourism, impact of tourism on tourist locations.
Michał Futyra
Michał Futyra graduated from the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów in the field of Journalism, Media and Communication. Currently, he studies International Relations at the Tischner European University in Cracow. He publishes articles about Asian conflicts and reports in the student’s magazine Pressja and in magazines for Poles living abroad. His interests concern historical journalism, modern prose, rock music and especially traveling. He was awarded by the KARTA Center and the Stefan Batory Foundation for a publication about Polish emigration from the area of today's Ukraine during the war.
Zofia Sawicka, M.A.
Zofia Sawicka graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, in the fields of Political Science and Oriental Studies (Arabic language). She took part in an academic scholarship at the Institute for non-Arabic Speakers in Damascus (2006-2007). Trainee in the Polish embassy in Damascus. Cooperated with the student’s magazine SMS, writes articles for the Portal of Foreign Affairs (PSZ). Lecturer at the Chair of Journalism, Media and Communication at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów , employee of the Institute of Research on Civilizations.
Current research areas: Arabic language, Arabic literature, relation between the Middle East and western countries, conflicts in the Middle East, clash of civilizations (East and West).
